About Aloe Vera
The use of Aloe Vera can be traced back through history, and people in widely varying cultures have used Aloe Vera for their household requirements. In modern times, much of the knowledge surrounding utility plants has vanished, but interest in health and lifestyle issues is now increasing worldwide. Our increasingly stressful lives also mean that we quite simply need to take care of ourselves a little better. What is Aloe Vera?
Aloe Vera is a fleshy plant belonging to the lily family. Lilies include flowering plants, as well as asparagus, onion and garlic. Aloe is a separate sub-group made up of several hundred different plants. Of these Aloe Barbadensis Miller, or Aloe Vera, is the most powerful and the one used commercially.
The viscous gel is found inside the Aloe Vera plants leaves. Like other vegetables the main content is water, as well as a series of vitamins and minerals, if only in small amounts. Aloe Vera also contains a large number of plant chemicals. These plant chemicals work in synergy with nutrients in your gastrointestinal system to preserve your health. This makes Aloe Vera a good vegetable for anyone who wants to keep their stomach healthy. As much as 70% of your immune system is based in your stomach, which is why its so important to keep it in shape. A daily dose of Aloe Vera keeps your stomachs mucous membrane in form, preserves the balance between good and bad bacteria, enhances the absorption of nutrition from what you eat, and counteracts excessive acidity in the stomach. It has also long been known that Aloe Vera is good for the skin.
Aloe Vera by Forever
You cant make a good product from poor ingredients. Because Aloe Vera is a succulent plant, it absorbs nourishment from the soil it grows in. Thats why we start from the very beginning, by growing our plants in fertile soils that ensure robust growth. Forever owns the plantations, and all cultivation takes place using organic methods and crop rotation so as not to deplete the soil.
Each plant starts life as a shoot cut from the root of a mature plant. After 3 years or so in the ground, each mature leaf is removed from the plant by hand with a small incision along the stalk. Once the leaves have been cut they are quickly transported to the factory for refinement.
A clean product
The leaves undergo meticulous cleaning whereby they are bathed several times in cool water and also in a high-pressure washer. Any surplus is removed and the leaves are checked for defects. We take the Aloe Vera from the inner part of the plant, where it is best protected from outside influence. This ensures we extract the purest possible gel.
Patented process
The pure, freshly pressed gel is then collected in stainless steel containers and any peeling waste is removed. It then passes through a patented stabilization process as quickly as possible, which prevents oxidation and retains the beneficial properties of the gel. The leaves are composted and become a part of the natural ecocycle.
Meticulously tested
Once we have a decent basic product, we want firm evidence that it is always of the highest possible quality. The gel therefore undergoes laboratory tests and analyses before it can be included as an ingredient in our products.
From us to the world
Once the gel has been approved it is transported to the automatic filling process, which can fill 300 tubs a minute.
